Hailing from Ukraine and currently based in Berlin, Dmytro Avksentiev is a true visionary who seamlessly merges his passion for music with his background in cinema. With a cinematic approach to music production, Koloah creates immersive soundscapes that transport listeners into his own world.
As he’s producing in different genres, you may recognise him under aliases - Tropical Echobird and Voin Oruwu. But under any name, his music has always spoken of unifying raw energy. Dmytro’s discography of 15+ releases includes the experimental LP “Etudes From A Starship” on the Ukrainian label Kvitnu, his very special album Serenity, which has been high ranked on Pitchfork and various club releases on such labels as Alien Communications, Banoffee Pies, Hyperboloid, Cut Records, Soulection, Car Crash Set and MUSAR, to name a few... In 2019, he founded his own label called Salon Imaginalis — a place to release forward-thinking electronic music without any genre boundaries.
Drawing inspiration from his Eastern European roots, as well as the vibrant music scene of Berlin, Koloah's sound is a reflection of his diverse musical influences. From the industrial landscapes of his hometown in Ukraine to the eclectic sounds of Berlin's underground clubs, Dmytro’s music is a melting pot of cultural influences that come together to create something truly unique and captivating.
